Terms of Service

Last updated 25 September 2026. By creating an account or using Mola Mola you agree to these terms.

1. What the service is

Mola Mola runs Grasshopper definitions in a web browser. You upload a .gh or .ghx file, the geometry is computed, and you can drive it with the definition's own parameters and share the result as a link. No Rhino license or installation is required to view or run a definition here.

The service is under active development. Features may be added, changed or removed, and we will not always announce this in advance. Where a change removes something you paid for, section 5 applies.

2. Your account

• You need an account to use the service. You can create one with an email sign-in link or with Google.
• You are responsible for anything done through your account. Do not share your sign-in link.
• One account is for one person. If you need seats for a team, contact us.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live, whichever is higher.

3. Your work stays yours

The definitions, geometry, drawings and projects you upload or create remain your property. We claim no ownership of them and we do not use them to train anything.

You grant us only the narrow permission we need to run the service: to store your files, process them so the application can display and compute them, and serve them back to you or to people you deliberately share a link with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

4. Our intellectual property

The application, the geometry engine, its algorithms, and the translation of Grasshopper components to the web are ours and are protected by copyright. You agree not to copy, redistribute, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the engine or its logic, and not to use the service to build a competing product.

"Rhino" and "Grasshopper" are trademarks of Robert McNeel & Associates. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to them.

5. Plans, billing and renewal

• A Free plan is available permanently and costs nothing.
• Pro is a paid subscription, billed monthly or yearly in euros, in advance.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period, at the price then shown on our pricing page, until you cancel. We will tell you by email before any price change affects you.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Prices are shown inclusive of any tax that applies to you. Where we are required to collect sales tax, VAT or GST, it is calculated at checkout based on your location.
• If a payment fails we may retry it, and may suspend paid features until it succeeds.

6. Cancelling, and getting your money back

• Cancel any time, from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal.
• When you cancel, you keep the paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. We do not cut you off on the day you cancel.
• If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of subscribing and receive a full refund. Because the service is delivered digitally and immediately, by subscribing you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge that you lose that right once the period has been fully performed. Within the 14 days, email us and we will refund you.
• Outside that, if something is broken, was mis-described, or you are simply unhappy in the first 30 days, email us. We would rather refund you than argue.
• We do not usually refund part-used periods beyond the above, but ask us.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, infringe someone else's rights, upload malware, attack or overload the infrastructure, circumvent limits or access controls, or resell access without our written agreement. We may apply reasonable technical limits to keep the service working for everyone.

8. Availability and "as is"

We work hard to keep the service up but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we offer no uptime guarantee. The service is provided as is and, to the extent the law allows, without warranties of any kind.

Keep your own copies of anything that matters. The geometry engine approximates some operations — the limitations page says which — so output is not automatically fit for fabrication or construction. Check it before you build from it.

9. Limits of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data, or losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of geometry produced by the service. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

You can export your work before you go, and you can ask us to delete it — see the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will give notice by email or in the application before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings there.
